Je,Ni ungwana kweli? Kila mwaka kwenye historia ya taifa la kenya kumeshuhudiwa maandamano na migomo kutoka kwa watumishi wa umma kutokana na kucheleweshwa kwa mishahara, kucheleweshwa kwa kutimiza makubaliano ya CBA na kupandishwa vyeo kwa watumishi wa umma waliohudumu kwa muda. Hali hii hutatiza shughuli za kawaida nchini ikiwa wanaoathirika pakubwa ni walimu, madktari ma wahadhiri wa vyuo.Junior 26 mwaka wa 2024 walimu wa shule za msing8 na zile za sekondari walianzisha mgomo baada ya kucheleweshwa kwa mazungumzo ya makubaliano mapya ya CBA ya mwaka wa 2021-2025. Hali hii ilichangia wanafunzi kuaslia manyumbani hadi tarehe 2 septemba baada ya chama cha walimu cha KNUT na KUPPET Kuairisha mgomo huo baada ya kuafikia maelewano na tume ya kuajiri walimu nchini TSCMwaka huu wakenya katika kaunti tofauti walilazimika kukosa huduma muhimu za afya na kuzisaka katika hospitali za kibinafsi baada ya wauguzi na wahudumu wa afya katika hospitali za umma kusitisha utoaji wa huduma za afya kutokana na malipo duni, kucheleweshwa kwa mishahara, kutoajiriwa kwa wahudumu waliohitimu na kucheleweshwa kwa marupurupu ya wauguzi.Kaunti 4 ikiwa ni pamoja na kiambu ,kilifi,kisii na Nairobi.Katika kaunti ya kiambu mgomo huo ambao ulianza mwezi wa mei na kukamilika oktoba baada ya wahudumu hao kuaidiwa malipo ya mwezi mmoja na masalio kulipwa ndani ya mwaka wa fedha wa 2026-2027.Katika kaunti ya kilifi wahudumu wa afya waliachishwa kazi baada ya mgomo wa agosti 2025 na kurejeshwa baada ya maelewano La punde zaidi ni mgomo wa wahadhiri wa vyuo vikuu ambao umewaweka wanafunzi nyumbani kwa siku 49, baada ya majaribio ya maelewano kutoka wizara ya elimu na taasisi zinazoshughulikia maslahi ya wahadhiri wa vyuo vikuu KUSU na UASU kufeli mara kadhaa wahadhiri wakishikilia kwamba ni lazima serikali ilipe deni Lao la shilingi bilioni 7.9 kulingana na makubaliano ya CBA ya mwaka 2017-2021. Hata hivyo baada ya maongezi ya masaa kadhaa tarehe 5 novemba wahadhiri walikubaliana na serikali kurudi kazini serikali ikiaidi kulipa deni Lao la bilioni 7.9 kwa awamu mbili ikiwa awamu ya kwanza inatarajiwa ndani ya mwezi wa novemba na desemba na masalio kulipwa julai mwaka wa 2026.wahadhiri wakitishia kuaandamana tena endapo serikali itakosa kulipa deni hilo na kutoa nafasi ya makubaliano mapya ya CBA ya mwaka wa 2025 – 2029 ndani ya siku 30.Inashangaza sana kwamba lazima watumishi wa umma waandamane ndiposa matakwa yao yaskizwe. Mwito kwa serikali ni kwamba maslahi ya watumishi wa umma yanapaswa kupewa kipaumbele na kunafaa kuwekwa mikakati dhabiti ya maongezi ya kukabilianana maandamano na migomo.

PORT ON THE FREE MEDICAL CAMP HELD AT KONGOWEA MARKET ON 31st OCTOBER 2025Each year globally,the month of october is normally referred as a breast cancer awareness month whereby different activities like educational campaigns,free medical camps,walks are done to encourage prevention of breast cancer, early detection and treatment.This year in Mombasa county,the Young Women’s Christian Association(YWCA) in partner Mombasa county Department of Health Services and other organisations like Dream Achievers Youth Organisation(DAYO),Supa Loaf,The Coast General Teaching and Referal Hospital,CHAP CHAP Women organised a free medical camp at Kongowea Market to commemorate the month of breast cancer awareness month. The team planned the free medical camp with an aim to bring essential health services closer to the people which at most times they get them at a service fee and most of them are not in a postion to cater for hence ensuring that everyone regardless of their background or income,gender can access quality, free, and life-saving service from qualified doctors and medical practitioners. They not only offered breast cancer services but also cervical cancer screening services,TB screening,HIVtesting and counselling services,Blood sugar and blood pressure check ups and comprehensive Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights Education to all attendees and residents at large.They explained their urge to hold the camp at Kongowea Market stating that since it is the center of most businessess across east african countries and where many people flood to explore,exhibit,trade.Many of them find it challenging to leave their businesses and go for a paid for checkup in a medical center. The team explained and urged both males and females to avail themselves andc enjoy the services brought to them. Many of both business women and men took advantage of the opportunity and got the services all at free with most of them ranging from the age of 25 years of age to 70 years with a high population in betwween the age of 25 and 40,most women taking the highest population of the attendees
